Introducing the Renewable Innovations Instant Estimate Tools

Laptop displaying Renewable Innovations Instant Estimate tools for solar and battery systems. The interface allows homeowners to enter annual energy usage or home square footage to generate instant estimates for solar systems and Tesla Powerwall 3 battery backup. Designed for California homeowners, the tools provide pricing without sales calls and include options for panel upgrades, EV chargers, and future energy planning.

Renewable Innovations is proud to officially launch something we’ve been working on for quite some time our Instant Estimates platform, now live on our website. This launch includes two tools designed to simplify one of the most frustrating parts of going solar: getting a real price without getting pulled into a sales funnel. We are launching both a Solar Estimate Tool and a Battery Estimate Tool, each built with the same purpose in mind to give homeowners a fast, reliable way to understand the cost of renewable energy solutions without the pressure.

You can access both tools directly here:

If you’ve ever tried to get a solar quote online, you already know how the process usually goes. You fill out a form, and within minutes your phone starts ringing. Then it rings again. And again. Before you know it, you’re talking to multiple companies, repeating the same information over and over, and trying to make sense of pricing that often feels inconsistent or unclear. That experience alone has stopped many homeowners from moving forward with solar, even when they were genuinely interested.

We built these tools to eliminate that problem entirely.

Our Instant Estimates platform allows you to explore solar and battery pricing the same way you would shop for car insurance or compare products online. You enter a few simple inputs, and the system generates a real estimate instantly. No waiting, no callbacks, no pressure. Just information you can actually use to make a decision.

Right now, these tools are available for homeowners in California, where energy costs and policy changes have made solar and battery storage more relevant than ever. As we continue to grow and work with partners in other regions, we plan to expand availability into additional markets, including Texas and Florida. The goal is to bring this same level of simplicity and transparency to as many homeowners as possible.

The Solar Estimate Tool is designed to be incredibly easy to use. In most cases, the only piece of information you need is your annual energy usage, measured in kilowatt hours. This is something you can typically find by logging into your utility provider’s website. Once you enter that number, the tool allows you to select your desired energy offset and build a system that matches your goals. Whether you want to cover your current usage or plan for future needs like electric vehicles, the system adapts accordingly and generates a real-time estimate.

We understand that not everyone knows their annual usage off the top of their head, so we’re already working on a solution for that as well. Later this month, we will be launching an Annual Energy Consumption Estimator that allows users to simply enter their average monthly electric bill. From there, our system will calculate an estimated annual kWh usage that can be used directly within the solar estimator. This removes another barrier and makes the process even more accessible.

The Battery Estimate Tool is built with the same philosophy, but with an even simpler input. Instead of requiring detailed load calculations or appliance lists, the tool uses your home’s square footage to estimate the type of battery system that would align with your needs. This allows us to quickly validate whether your selected battery configuration is sufficient for a typical home of that size, without forcing homeowners to gather technical information they may not have readily available.

At launch, our battery offerings are focused on the Tesla Powerwall 3, including configurations with and without expansion batteries. This allows homeowners to explore both standard and extended backup scenarios depending on their goals. As we continue developing the platform, we plan to integrate additional battery options, giving users the ability to compare different technologies within the same tool.

Both estimators are designed to provide accurate starting points, but like any preliminary estimate, there can be variables that affect final pricing. Site conditions, electrical upgrades, roof layout, and other project-specific factors can influence the final design. That said, we’ve built these tools with enough real-world data and pricing logic to be confident in the estimates we’re providing. In many cases, homeowners will find that the final proposal aligns closely with what they see in the tool.

We are also actively working on integrating PPA and lease pricing directly into the estimates. Right now, the pricing shown reflects a cash purchase, but we recognize that many homeowners are more interested in monthly payment options. Lease and PPA structures have become one of the most attractive ways to go solar, especially for those who want immediate savings without a large upfront investment. Bringing that into the estimator is a priority, and it will allow users to compare ownership versus monthly payment options side by side.

If you do want a deeper analysis, that option is still available. After generating your estimate, you will have the ability to schedule a virtual consultation directly through the platform. This is where we can review your roof layout, shading, orientation, and any technical details that require a more precise design. The difference is that now, you are entering that conversation informed, with a baseline understanding of pricing and system size.

This launch is just the beginning.

We are building an entire ecosystem of tools designed to help homeowners make informed decisions about their energy systems without unnecessary friction. In addition to the Annual Energy Consumption Estimator mentioned earlier, we are also developing a Smart Home Estimator that will help homeowners upgrade lighting, switches, and outlets into modern, controllable systems. This is an important step toward full energy management, not just energy generation.

We are also working on a tool specifically for homeowners who already have solar but need more production. As energy usage grows, many existing systems no longer meet the needs of the home. Whether it’s due to an EV purchase, lifestyle changes, or electrification upgrades, this tool will help homeowners determine what it would take to expand their current system.

And for those planning to purchase an electric vehicle, we will be launching an EV Charger Estimator that helps determine what type of Level 2 charger is right for your home, how it integrates with your electrical system, and how much additional solar may be needed to support it.

Every one of these tools is being built around the same idea, give people the ability to explore their options without pressure, without confusion, and without having to speak to five different companies just to get a straight answer.

We believe the renewable energy industry has needed this for a long time.

We are living in a time where technology should make things easier, not more complicated. There is no reason getting a solar or battery estimate should feel harder than buying a car or comparing insurance policies online. It should be simple. It should be transparent. And it should be available on demand.

That is exactly what we set out to build.

At Renewable Innovations, our goal is to help homeowners make the switch to clean energy in a way that actually makes sense for them. That means removing barriers, simplifying the process, and giving people the tools they need to make confident decisions.

Because at the end of the day, making the switch to renewable energy should be as simple as 2 + 2 = 4.
