At the heart of the IQ Battery 5P is LFP (Lithium Iron Phosphate) chemistry, known for its long life, thermal stability, and enhanced safety profile. It is one of the only storage systems on the market to meet UL 9540A fire safety standards without needing additional clearance or spacing, making it an ideal choice for both indoor and outdoor installations—even in tight spaces or garages.
 
Built with the same bidirectional IQ microinverter technology that Enphase is famous for, each battery module includes four embedded microinverters to ensure fast, safe, and seamless DC-to-AC conversion. This design eliminates the need for a central inverter, allows for independent operation of each battery, and enhances reliability by avoiding single points of failure.
 
The system is fully integrated with the Enphase Energy System, including solar generation, monitoring, and EV charging. Using the Enphase App, homeowners gain real-time visibility into their energy production, storage levels, and usage patterns.
